Members of the CLNPC are registered Canadian Carriers. Find out if you are eligible.

Overview

Established in 1997 at the direction of the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC), membership in the CLNPC is a mandatory obligation of carriers wishing to meet the requirements of the CRTC as set out in CRTC Decisions 97-8, 05-72 and 06-28.

Eligibility

To become a member of the CLNPC, you must be one or more of the following:

  1. An Incumbent or Small Incumbent Local Exchange Carrier (ILEC/SILEC)
  2. A Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC) as contemplated in Telecom Decision CRTC 97-8
  3. A registered Canadian facilities based wireless carrier directed by Telecom Decisions 2005-72

Entities who do not qualify to become members in the CLNPC may still apply for authorization to access Canadian NPAC data.
